Content plans, in detail.

Our plans align with three broad content categories — how often the content changes, and how much creative and technical work each one requires. This is the guide to figuring out where your business fits.

Every Redshorts Digital engagement is built on two decisions. The first is which of our three plans your business needs — subscription only, ad-hoc, or fixed. The second is which content category your work sits in — static, rotational, or dynamic.

The two decisions are related but not identical. A restaurant with a fixed lunch menu and a single lobby screen can happily sit on Plan 1 with static content. A grocer running weekly promotions across four in-store screens is almost certainly better served by Plan 3 and dynamic content. Most clients land somewhere in the middle — Plan 2 with rotational content, refreshed monthly.

Under every plan, we handle the design, the CMS, the scheduling, and — where required — the screen and the mount too. Read on for the breakdown.

Three ways to engage.

Every plan includes a monthly CMS subscription per screen. Choose the arrangement that matches how often your content changes.

i

CMS subscription only.

Cloud-based Content Management System subscription — $25 to $40 per month per screen.

  • Access to the CMS platform
  • Manage your own content and playlists
  • Monthly, bi-annual or annual billing
  • Pricing depends on feature set and complexity
Best forBusinesses with in-house design capability who just need the platform.
ii

Ad-hoc arrangement.

CMS subscription plus content services on demand — $30 to $90 per content instance.

  • Includes CMS subscription per screen
  • We build content as required
  • Suits fixed playlists with occasional changes
  • Weekly or monthly refresh cadence
Best forWhen you know what you want but don't have the design resources in-house.
iii

Fixed plan agreement.

Bundled monthly price with an agreed number of content iterations — $10 to $90 per content instance.

  • CMS subscription included per screen
  • Predictable monthly cost
  • Agreed volume of content updates
  • Scales across screens, playlists and duplicated content
Best forHigher-frequency campaigns and multi-screen deployments.

Do I need a media player?

It depends on your CMS and digital display capability. On supported devices, the CMS app can run as the media player itself — in which case the cost is $0.00. Otherwise a media player is required for each screen so it can display content from the cloud CMS.

Section F · Content categories Static · Rotational · Dynamic

Plans align with these categories.

The right plan usually follows from the type of content you need — how often it changes, and how sophisticated the presentation has to be.

Category I
Category I · Plan 1 territory

Static content.

Updated infrequently Low expertise Cost effective

Typical uses — restaurant menus, information displays, directions, store layouts.

Applications include — building lobby navigation, restaurant menus, community safety alerts, and building or venue maps.

Category II
Category II · Plan 2 territory

Rotational content.

Updated periodically Low-to-mid expertise

Typical uses — multiple images rotate in a playlist. Multiple playlists may run on different days. Displays might be a range of products, services, or general information.

Applications include — a series of regular content delivered for a fixed period. A health store showcasing core products, a fashion retailer showcasing a range, or a supermarket promoting new products. We source your images from your catalogue or create unique combinations of engaging content.

Category III
Category III · Plan 3 territory

Dynamic content.

Updated frequently Higher expertise required

Typical uses — weekly promotions, dynamic content linked to social media, targeted content based on demographics, day of week and time of day.

Applications — content aligns with social media and event-driven in-store promotions aimed at specific demographics on set days and times. Multiple playlists may operate on one or more screens. This often involves deeper engagement with management, designers and alignments with social media content.
